What is that ladder called where god is on top, followed by man etc and at the bottom is rock?

An ancient philosopher, I believe, gave it a name like the "Ladder of Divinity" or the "Ladder of life". It has an official name but I can't find it. Ive been searching for hours and I cant find any information. Help!
