How do I give my dog med with an oral syringe and make him drink water and he gets mad at me.?

Because we go to veterinarian and said he have a UTI and he doesn't like to eat and the vet said he needs to drink plenty of water for him to be cured. And he gets mad and show his scary teeth who likely like to bite me. what should i do
