I'm going to lose my dog, I'm devasted, any advice?

fist of all, i'm really sorry to hear about this; i kind of went through the same thing over a year ago, but i didn't have my dog for anywhere near as long as you had yours. i'd had him for about 3 years and he had a freak accident which resulted in him having to be put down. the one thing i can honestly say upsets me the most about it is the fact that his last day was nothing special because we weren't expecting anything bad to happen. my advice to you is that if you make your dogs last few days really good, it will comfort you quite a bit after she's been put down; take her for lots of long walks, give her good meat for meals and most importantly, spend a lot of time with her.
