Is it weird I celebrate Christmas and not Easter?

I was raised Pentecostal but left the church after I witnessed a lot of horrible things. I don't believe in the divinity of Christ at all, besides. But I celebrate Christmas because it's time around my family, and I like Christmas carols, and making Christmas cookies, and sending Christmas cards, and everything about the season. Whereas Easter I feel is more explicitly religious, and since there are no family traditions around this holiday, I feel uncomfortable celebrating it. My friends think this is weird, and think I should "at least go to church" on Easter if I celebrate Christmas. Are they right?
